Famous painter Su Wan discovers that Lin Tang, her fiancé's mistress, has copied her unreleased original work into a fake for an exhibition. She arrives at the gallery opening with the original, and when the two "identical" paintings are placed side by side, the crowd erupts immediately. Lin Tang insists it's her "independent creation," and her fiancé even defends her—until Su Wan smiles and opens the frame, revealing a silk thread signature embroidered on the back of the canvas in memory of her mother. When the truth comes to light, Su Wan looks at the stunned pair and says softly: "No matter how similar, a fake will never become the original."
