Su Wan, an ancient book restorer at the museum, has been haunted by her father's disappearance during an archaeological expedition for years. Then, Lin Shen, a mysterious photographer claiming to be a descendant of the paper's owner, appears, saying the paper is the other half of his family's "Gui Xu Map," related to the ancient village her father guarded—where a millennium-old ginkgo forest coveted by capital lies. Together, they trace clues, uncovering the truth that her father went incognito to protect the village. They also discover their past lives as the author of *Autumn Wind Ode* and the figure in the painting, reunited in this life to fulfill a thousand-year-old guardianship. Along the way, they fight against developers, awaken villagers' memories with clues from the ancient book, and finally protect the ginkgo forest, finding their "home of the heart" in each other.
