Aman, a rural youth whose only wish is to have meat at every meal, knows nothing about the imperial exam but is dragged by villagers to join as a filler. He just wants to make a name to get free meat, yet a noble clan, fearing he will take their chance, frames him for cheating and tries to expel him. Cornered, Aman uses the keen eyesight from farm work and livestock slaughter to crack the exam traps set by nobles, writes a shocking essay with his unique perspective on people's livelihood, and eventually counterattacks to win the top rank. He not only fulfills his meat dream but also humiliates the arrogant clan.
