A modern hunting enthusiast named Lin Jianguo is unexpectedly reborn into a rural commune in 1970s China, becoming an overlooked young member of the local hunting team. The team always returns empty-handed on every hunting trip and is mocked by neighboring villagers. With their work points and food rations at risk, Lin ignores the old captain’s doubts, uses his modern hunting skills to adjust tactics and plan routes. Eventually, the team catches a hefty wild boar in the mountains, turning the tables, winning everyone’s respect overnight, and even getting tangled in a small dispute within the commune.
