Lin Chuan, a 2023 aerospace materials scientist, is reborn in 1990 in a small town on the China-Russia border after an experiment accident—left with only a box of military canned food from his past life’s lab. Desperate, he meets Ivan, a Soviet pilot who crash-landed in a MiG-29 and hasn’t eaten for three days. Ivan needs food to survive, and Lin Chuan’s cans are exactly the “lifesaver” he needs. A deal—“canned food for a plane”—gives Lin Chuan his first fighter jet. But when he tries to dismantle it for aerospace research, he finds a secret in the wing: an unpublicized Soviet aero-engine blueprint belonging to Ivan. Meanwhile, Chen Mo, his former rival who pushed him out in his past life, has also been reborn and is closing in on this “windfall.” Between the urgency of decoding the blueprint and the villain’s schemes, Lin Chuan must use his past-life knowledge to turn his “canned food for a plane” start into a chance to rewrite aerospace history.
