Zhou Wan, a voice actress, lost part of her memory in a car accident three years ago and always dreams of a man saying "Miss Zhou, please nod" at night. One day, Lin Shen, a mysterious photographer, breaks into her life—he knows her habits perfectly: half-sugar hot cocoa, leaving the porch light on for her fear of darkness. He uses "please nod" again and again to trigger her fragmented memories: the scent of sugar-fried chestnuts from the old stall at the alley, the scarves folded together in the recording studio, and the thin back that shielded her from a car on a rainy day. When Zhou Wan finally recognizes Lin Shen as the twin brother of her late boyfriend, the last "nod" reveals the cruelest truth: the car accident was a deliberate revenge against her boyfriend, and "nod" was his dying promise—holding her hand with his last strength, telling her to "live well"...
