Ancient painting restorer Su Wanqing guards "Yueming Studio" left by her grandfather, but is approached by reporter Lin Shen over a Song Dynasty painting *Returning Boat in Sudden Rain*—he insists the painting holds evidence of her grandfather's "ancient painting theft". Trapped in the attic by a sudden downpour while protecting the painting, Su finds her grandfather's final diary, revealing Lin's father was the one wrongfully accused of protecting the national treasure; Lin also realizes the "culprit" he chased was just an old man who took the blame for his father. When the rain stops, moonlight floods the window. Looking at the restored painting, they suddenly understand: "waiting for the moon" is never about the rain stopping—it's about the fog of "truth" in their hearts slowly lifting.
