Azhu, daughter of a bamboo craftsman, was engaged to Gu Zhao, a general defending the border. Before going to war, Gu Zhao tied the bamboo tag she wove to his waist and promised, "I'll marry you on the day I triumph." But three years later, all she received was Gu Zhao's "death notice." Azhu stayed in the bamboo hut, weaving baskets daily to寄托 her longing, until she saved an amnesiac man—he had Gu Zhao's face, and even wore that faded bamboo tag! But a "wife" suddenly appeared, crying that he was Zhou Mo, a missing merchant, and even showed a marriage certificate as proof. Azhu touched the character "Zhao" she carved on the tag, staring at the man's confused eyes: Did he forget his return date, or did someone steal his past?
