Lin Xiaoman, a new office worker, has a "hard rule"—she clocks out on time every day. Even when her female boss Su Man deliberately dumps tough tasks on her, she finishes them two hours early. Su Man can't stand this "non-overworking rebel" and secretly sets traps to get her in trouble: assigning her the most difficult client, deliberately messing up reports to make her redo them... But Lin Xiaoman handles it easily every time, and even retorts: "Finishing work efficiently is better than putting on a show by working overtime." Until Su Man stumbles upon the truth behind Lin Xiaoman's on-time departure—she has to take care of her seriously ill grandma, which is exactly the regret Su Man had when she missed her grandma's last moment due to overtime. When Su Man finally tries to leave on time, she realizes that this "nightmare" subordinate is actually helping her get back the life she lost.
