Fire reporter Su Wan has been obsessed with investigating an old arson case where her mother died mysteriously. During an interview with a fire brigade, she meets Lin Yan, the reserved captain who was the first responder at the scene of her mother’s death. Su Wan notices Lin Yan avoids details about the fire and hides an old notebook filled with “blaze” annotations.
