Su Wantang, daughter of the prime minister, survives her family’s massacre after they’re framed for treason. Disguised as a “drunken maid,” she infiltrates the palace to uncover the truth and avenge her kin. But she’s drawn into the succession plot of the Ninth Prince, Xiao Jingheng—a man who feigns dissipation while secretly plotting to overthrow the powerful regent. He demands she act as his “pawn” to get close to the regent. As they use each other, forbidden affection blooms. When her vengeance blade targets the regent (Xiao’s own uncle), and she uncovers a royal secret behind her father’s death, will she choose to settle her blood feud… or stand with the man she once shared drunken dreams with, to guard the kingdom together?
