Chen Mo, a young fishing enthusiast in a small town, has an unbelievable fishing skill. No matter which body of water he casts his line into, thousands of fish will gather around his hook, even drawing wild fish from nearby reservoirs. Fellow anglers accuse him of using illegal bait, and fishery officials come to investigate. But Chen only uses an old fishing rod passed down from his grandfather and ordinary earthworms.
