Lin Chuan, a corporate slave who just got yelled at by his boss for overtime, stumbles into the "Sunset Catastrophe" on his way home—the sun turns blood-red, animals mutate, and the city instantly becomes a survival battlefield. Cornered on a telephone pole by a mutated orange cat, he bonds with the "Turbulent Counterattack System"—only to find the system has a sarcastic loli voice and gives absurd tasks like "help square-dance aunties retrieve their mutated speaker" or "bathe the former school hunk's mutated corgi"! While complaining about the system's trickery, Lin Chuan is forced to navigate the apocalypse: dealing with the "Auntie Survival Squad" fighting over instant noodles, protecting Su Xiao (his gentle neighbor he secretly crushes on), and investigating the mysterious organization behind the catastrophe. But as he digs deeper, he realizes the system is linked to the catastrophe's origin—and his seemingly useless physique might hold the key to everything.
