Lin Yang, a poor community doctor, picks up a broken gourd carved with Nine Yang patterns and accidentally gains an immortal doctor's inheritance—the gourd can refine life-saving immortal medicine and "generate" gold from ordinary objects! He uses the medicine to save Su Xiaoyu, a beautiful reporter harassed by a rich man, and just as they start to develop romantic feelings, the rich man teams up with gangsters to take revenge. To make matters worse, the thousand-year-old immortal soul sleeping in the gourd suddenly awakens: "The one who's after the Nine Yang treasure will come for your life soon..." Between the thrill of counterattack and making a fortune, and the tightening杀机 (killer intent), Lin Yang's "gourd-powered life" has only just begun!
