Lin Xiao, a returning entrepreneur, plans to build "Frog Croak Inn" by expanding the village entrance road. She is blocked by Old Chen, a fishpond farmer, who warns the new road will damage the water source and scare away frogs. As they clash, a summer night brings the croaking frogs across the fields—Lin discovers that Old Chen has guarded the fishpond for a decade, the real source of the frog songs, and her inn project can rely on this natural advantage. The barrier breaks, they turn from opponents to partners, telling a warm story about rural revitalization, ecology and humanity.
