Gu Shen, the cold and mysterious owner of a pawnshop, secretly collects Five Elements evil relics that can trigger disasters. However, he crosses paths with Su Xiao, a passionate journalist investigating a missing girl case. Su Xiao discovers that all victims had contact with "special items" from Gu Shen's pawnshop—wood-based soul-entangling vines that steal vitality, fire-based heart-burning lamps that torture the obsessed... Behind each evil relic lies a blood-stained past of those consumed by执念 (obsession). As they close in on the ultimate secret of the Five Elements relics, Gu Shen's 10-year-hidden identity is exposed: he is the "guardian" of the previous generation's evil relics pawnshop, and Su Xiao is exactly the "Five Elements Spirit Maiden" who can end the chaos. Trapped by fate, can they find a glimmer of redemption amid the curse of the evil relics?
