Lin Shen, a temple guardian in Tibet, was a young monk in his past life who died saving Zhao, a woman fleeing an arranged marriage. On his deathbed, he vowed to perform 999 prostrations to the holy mountain to reunite with her in the next life. In this lifetime, he finally meets Gu Xiaoman, a fashion blogger who looks exactly like Zhao—she’s in Tibet filming a documentary, has no memory of their past, and is annoyed by Lin Shen’s “obsession”. But as they spend time together, Xiaoman always tastes a familiar sweetness in his butter tea and hears familiar Sanskrit when he chants. Just as they fall for each other, Lin Shen finds his heart’s cinnabar mole heating up—the vow came with a price: he has only seven days left to live. Will he make Xiaoman remember their past, or leave quietly? A love story written in reincarnation unfolds slowly under the snow-capped mountains.
