In a coastal town, Su Xiaoman collects garbage to fund her brother's high school education. Neighbors shun her as unlucky, and her parents blame her for bringing shame, even forcing her to drop out to work and pay debts. When a powerful typhoon triggers a landslide, Xiaoman, familiar with every corner of the town from her collecting trips, spots an unusual crack on the back mountain. She rushes back to the village amid strong winds to alert everyone, saving her family and villagers—she nearly gets hit by falling rocks. Her family, full of guilt and gratitude, finally changes their attitude toward her.
