Gu Yanzhi, a cold and withdrawn man who retired from the city, returns to a remote tea village to heal from his wife's death. However, he's mistaken for a land-swindling profiteer by Su Xiaoman—the village's "spicy pepper", a feisty girl who supports her grandma and brother via live-streaming mountain products. She chases him two miles with a hoe to "demand justice". From sabotaging each other to solving tea garden pests and helping villagers build e-commerce channels, Gu's closed heart is melted by Xiaoman's spiciness and sincerity. Xiaoman also regains the security she lost after being abandoned by her parents, from Gu's tenderness. But when his late wife's family suddenly comes to reclaim the tea land, how will this "ice uncle and spicy wife" protect their budding love and the village's tea field hope?
