Su Wan lost her vision in a car accident three years ago. Her only light came from "Ah Lin," the caregiver who would fix a jasmine hairpin in her hair at dawn and read poetry to her at night to soothe her to sleep. When she finally regained her sight, she discovered that "Ah Lin" was actually Gu Jingshen—the driver responsible for the accident. Behind his pseudonym and守护 hid unspeakable guilt and love. But just as she began to grasp his feelings, Gu Jingshen vanished due to worsening old injuries, leaving only the roses they’d planted together and a note: "I’m afraid if you see me, you’ll remember the blood from that year. Never seeing each other for the rest of our lives is the last tenderness I can give you."
