Su Wan returns to Hong Kong City, which she left a decade ago, upon her grandmother's passing. While sorting out the old house, she stumbles upon the rainy-alley promise she made with her neighbor boy Chen Mo: "When I get into HKU, I'll take you to see the rain at Victoria Harbour." When they reunite, Chen Mo is now a bar owner with a gentle fiancée, while Su Wan hides her late-stage gastric cancer diagnosis. On a stormy night, they meet in the old bluestone alley—Chen Mo's ginger tea still carries the warmth from ten years ago, but the distance between them is like Hong Kong's rain: seemingly intimate, yet scattered the moment it hits the ground.
