Lin Xiaoman, a fishing village girl, swears to clear her father's name after he was drowned for “offending the River God”, only to be ostracized by villagers. Shen Zhao, an imperial inspector on a incognito mission, is injured and takes refuge in the village. He accidentally uncovers a conspiracy behind the “River God's wrath”—someone伪造 the god's punishment to cover up the embezzlement of dyke repair funds and silence witnesses. As they investigate together, they are shocked to find the real culprit linked to Shen Zhao's past, which destroyed his family. Will justice prevail, or will revenge consume them? The rushing river will eventually wash away the bloodstains and reveal the battle between good and evil in human hearts.
