'Three Bamboo Horses Cried with Regret' follows the story of Dong Ze Xin and her three childhood friends—Wang Yu, Li Hao, and Zhang Fan—who all secretly harbored crushes on her. During their school days, their affections were overshadowed by misunderstandings and immature rivalries, preventing any confession. Years later, at a reunion party, Dong Ze Xin announces her engagement to someone else, plunging the three men into deep regret as they recall lost chances and shed bitter tears. In a climactic twist, it's revealed that Dong Ze Xin was always waiting for one of them to bravely declare their love, but none stepped forward. This short series blends youthful romance, surprising reversals, and emotional tension into a poignant tale of missed opportunities.
