Lin Xiaoman, a psychologist, has a secret—she can 'hear' the colors of people's emotions: joy is orange like orange candy, grievance is blue like soaked paper. Until she meets Gu Yanshen, a programmer—his emotions are a 'mute black'. To solve this 'colorless puzzle', Xiaoman takes the initiative to get close to Gu, only to uncover his eight-year-old pain: he missed his late sister's last call because of overtime. When the 'color listener' meets the 'emotion insulator', can those muted pasts be re-dyed with warm colors belonging to both of them through mutual companionship?
