Yang Yitong, a children's book editor with three years of insomnia, visits the "Moonlight Bookstore"—only open at midnight—at the alley every night to borrow bookmarks that supposedly let her dream of someone she misses. It's not until she meets Shi Longwei, the silent bookstore owner, that she uncovers his secret: he's a "Moonlight Keeper" guarding the world's lost dreams, and each bookmark he gives fades his existence a little more. As Yang falls for this man who hides tenderness between book pages, she faces a choice: keep the vanishing him with her last dream, or wake his long-sealed "human heartbeat" with a kiss?
