Lin Chuan, a lowly antique shop assistant, awakens the "Golden Eyes"—a power to see through and appraise antiques—after breaking an old artifact. Once mocked by his snobbish ex-girlfriend as "destined to be poor", he becomes a legend overnight: spotting hidden cracks on a thousand-year-old jade Buddha with one glance, unearthing a Wanli-era imperial kiln bowl from a broken crate. But just as he earns his first pot of gold, Su Wan, a mysterious female collector, arrives with a "fake Ru kiln vase" to challenge him, vowing to expose his "trickery". Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend crawls back begging for reconciliation, and黑衣人 (black-clad men) start stalking him, eager to steal the secret of his Golden Eyes. How many unseen dangers lurk in Lin Chuan’s counterattack?
