A Zhao, a herbal farmer on the border, guards the medicinal field that sustains her entire village. However, she stumbles upon Gu Heng, an enemy general tasked with destroying the field. Should she kill him to protect her home, or save him to uncover the truth? When she learns Gu Heng was forced by a tyrannical minister to act—all to save his mother—they shift from being bitter enemies to trusting each other with their "dust-sized hearts": she heals his old wounds with herbs she grew herself, and he uses his military strategy to help the villagers defend the field. What does "a dust-sized heart nurtures the rivers and mountains" really mean? It’s nothing more than ordinary people using their most sincere hearts to piece together the broken border into a warm home.
