Retired elder Lin Jianguo, desperate to fund his critically ill granddaughter’s medical bills, musters the courage to apply for a janitor role at local industry leader “Shengda Group”—only to be publicly mocked by HR Li Min: “Aren’t you ashamed to steal jobs from young people at your age?” Just as Shengda faces bankruptcy due to a market manipulator’s scam and CEO Chen Yang is at his wit’s end, Lin Jianguo passes the conference room, overhears analysts’ arguments, and can’t help but interject: “The manipulator is transferring chips via ‘warehousing’—you’re盯错了 (watching the wrong indicators).” Stunned by his sharp insight, Chen Yang digs deeper and discovers: the “janitor grandpa” everyone looked down on is none other than Lin Chuan, the “Stock God” who created Wall Street’s “undefeated legend” twenty years ago and vanished a decade later. When a financial legend returns in the humblest form, is he just seeking a job to survive… or chasing an unresolved obsession from his past?
