Hong Kong tycoon heir Fu Yanjin attends a top talk show with his new lover, a movie queen. The glamorous scene under the flashbulbs stings Wen Jinya, the intern reporter in the corner—she’s the ex-girlfriend Fu loved for three years but had to break up with due to a "family marriage." She fled abroad to heal three months ago, only to be assigned this "death mission" right after returning, her recorder trembling in her palm. Meanwhile, Fu, seemingly answering questions with ease, keeps glancing at her in the shadows—he thought she’d long moved on, but her red-rimmed eyes are like needles, making his hand under the suit clench unconsciously. When the movie queen suddenly suggests "inviting a staff member to share views on love," Wen is forced into the spotlight. Locking eyes across three meters, the sweetness and pain of the past surge back. Is this "public execution" Fu’s deliberate plan, or a joke from fate?
