The "Secret Bridge" in a Jiangnan ancient town is the childhood obsession of Lin Wanwan and Lu Zhaonian—they once made a pinky promise under the moonlight to "walk to the end of the bridge together," but Lu suddenly disappeared at 16. Ten years later, Wanwan barely survives by running an old bookstore by the bridge, only to meet Lu in a suit: he's become a real estate developer buying the town, and the first target for demolition is the Secret Bridge.
