Lin Chuan, who has been working hard outside for years, returns to his hometown to handle demolition matters, only to find his disabled parents being bullied by rogue demolition teams—their house is falsely accused of being an "illegal building" and faces forced demolition, his father's wheelchair is kicked over, and his mother's medicine jar is shattered. Unable to bear it any longer, he dials a long-sealed phone number, which surprisingly makes the district leaders rush to his door to apologize overnight. It turns out Lin Chuan is a hidden core consultant of the Municipal Planning Bureau, holding the "Historical Building Preservation List" for the demolition area. When the rogues kneel and beg for mercy, Lin Chuan only squats beside his parents and whispers: "All I want is for them to walk this way home in peace."
