Lin Xiaochuan, a modern inept assassin who can't even hold a knife, accidentally travels back in time and becomes the "top assassin" of the ancient era. Waking up to find his father-in-law framed and sentenced to death, he forces himself to play the role of a "master assassin," using modern verbal tricks to scare the judge into trembling. When a prince frames him, he turns the tables and makes the prince lose his military power. Even the cold female emperor falls for his "flattery + nonsense." But as he gets better at "acting," the real ancient assassin organization targets him—can this imposter, who can't even hold a knife, survive with just his acting skills?
