Still grieving his late wife, Lin's father is won over by the thoughtful Su Mei and soon invites her to live in his villa. However, his daughter Xiaoman notices something off—Su Mei, who seems caring, secretly rummages through her father's property deeds and speaks ambiguously on calls with a stranger. After tracking her, Xiaoman discovers Su Mei is a fraud targeting the villa, plotting to trick her father into transferring ownership! She rushes to expose the scam, but Lin's father insists Xiaoman is rejecting the "new family". It's only when Xiaoman presents Su Mei's chat records with her accomplice that Lin's father wakes up. Father and daughter team up to call the police, bringing Su Mei to justice. The farce of "usurping the nest" ends, and the once estranged pair reconciles as they overcome the crisis together.
