After seven years of marriage, Su Wan gave up her astronomy dream for her family and became a "perfect housewife" in everyone's eyes, only to catch her husband Gu Mingyuan kissing his secretary on a rainy night—he despised her for "not even understanding stars, unworthy of him". Holding her feverish daughter, she wrote "I misread this marriage for seven years" on the foggy window of Gu Mingyuan's car and left resolutely with her daughter. Rediscovering astronomy, Su Wan met Lin Shen, a photographer who also loved stars, at the observatory. Together, they helped their daughter fulfill her wish of "seeing stars". When the mother and daughter observed a once-in-a-century meteor shower, Gu Mingyuan begged for reconciliation with a diamond ring: "I was wrong, come back." Su Wan smiled and pointed to the stars: "My star woke up in the rain long ago."
