Lu Jingchuan, CEO of a multinational group, flees overseas to avoid prosecution for a 10-billion-yuan money laundering scandal. Before leaving, he blackmails his identical twin brother Lu Jingshen, a low-key illustrator, into taking his place—managing the company’s mess and pretending to marry his fiancée Su Wan, a business partner from a arranged marriage, to stabilize stock prices. Reluctantly agreeing, Jingshen soon uncovers secrets: Su Wan knew of Jingchuan’s escape and is gathering evidence to destroy the group; Jiang Ning, Jingchuan’s ex-girlfriend who vanished three years ago, returns with a billion-yuan breakup agreement signed by Jingchuan, vowing to “take the money and dump him for good.” To Jingshen’s horror, Jingchuan’s escape seems a carefully orchestrated trap—and he’s already the scapegoat.
