In 1950s Jiangcheng, Lin Wan, a textile worker, narrowly escapes being sold by her stepmother. She saves Gu Yan, the amnesiac heir of Gu's Department Store who was framed by his uncle. They support each other in a shabby alley house, but her stepmother colludes with Gu's uncle to spread rumors that she "brings misfortune to husbands," while her stepsister pretends to be the savior to marry Gu Yan. When Gu Yan regains his memory, Lin Wan leaves due to a misunderstanding and rises to become the "Queen of Jiangcheng Clothing" with her craftsmanship. After uncovering the truth and punishing the villains, Gu Yan finds Lin Wan. They reunite in the old alley—their true feelings, once hidden by malice, finally bloom in the mortal fireworks.
