Middle-aged office worker Lin Jianguo spent half his life regretting choices made for "face" or "convenience"—missing every parent-child activity of his daughter, dismissing his wife's entrepreneurial dreams. Until one day, a "Regret Reboot System" popped up on his phone: complete "regret弥补" tasks to fix the past. But his first trip back to his daughter's kindergarten parent-child day ended with him gluing the teacher's wig to her head; trying to help his wife with a client, he mistakenly took the client's pet dog back to the company... Amidst hilarious chaos, he gradually understands the expectations in his wife and daughter's eyes. However, the system suddenly sends an "Ultimate Mission": retrieve their 10-year-forgotten wedding anniversary. Only then does he realize that the biggest regret to fix is his once-perfunctory love.
