Lin Mo, a socially anxious screenwriter, has saved "emotional tissues" for three months—each one bears fragments of his stuck tragic script, and the last one just has the line: "the tears when the protagonist says goodbye to his cat." Unexpectedly, his carefree roommate Su Xiao, a pet blogger, bursts in with Xiaoman, a feverish stray cat, shouting, "Lend me a tissue!"
