Lin Xiao, an intern doctor hurrying for the last bus after a night shift, meets painter Chen Yang at the street corner at dawn, who rushes to the hospital for his father’s sudden illness. In the panic, Chen Yang leaves his newly-finished oil painting *Dawn* behind. Lin picks it up and tries to return it, but is called back to the hospital temporarily. By the time she arrives at the meeting spot, Chen has transferred his father to another hospital, and they miss each other.
