Lin Ye, a young man devastated by bankruptcy in the city, returns to his hometown with despair and takes over ten thousand mu of wasteland considered a “hot potato”. Planning to muddle through, he discovers the earth-shattering rural wealth secret hidden in an ordinary rice grain— a special rice seed once missed its opportunity, with clues left by land stewards. This group of returning youth, once at odds, unite to resist capital suppression and old forces, cultivate rice seeds with ingenuity, uncover the truth, reverse their fate from “bankrupted losers” to “rural revitalization pioneers”, and gain love and like-minded partners along the way.
