The mother-in-law decides to split her 8,000-yuan pension with her son and daughter-in-law on an AA basis, claiming her right to live independently after raising her son. But when the daughter-in-law sorts out household bills, she reveals a detailed record showing the son has relied entirely on her for living costs, while covering all mortgage and car loans himself. This exposes the son as a "kept man". Shocked by her son's deception and guilty for misunderstanding the dedicated daughter-in-law, the mother-in-law's pension-splitting farce becomes a breakthrough for family relations, marking a turning point for the whole family to embrace happiness.
