In the 1980s machinery factory compound, time-traveler Su Xiaotang wakes up to the original owner’s mess—scolded by her mother-in-law as a “barren hen”, cold-shouldered by her tough husband Gu Tingshen, and tricked into signing a divorce agreement. She tears up the paper without hesitation, uses the original owner’s hidden mechanical genius to collect scrap iron for inventions and earn her first fortune, then solves the factory’s technical problems. From a “discarded wife” to the admired “Engineer Su”, she rises like a phoenix. The ever-iron-blooded Gu Tingshen, watching her drift away, finally blocks her office with red eyes: “Tangtang, I was wrong.” But Su Xiaotang laughs: “Want to get back together?
