Lin Xiaoman and Chen Mo, a five-year married couple praised as the "model pair" by neighbors, see their perfect image crack when Xiaoman finds out her husband has been lying about "working overtime" every Wednesday night—instead, he’s been going to a mysterious teahouse in the old town. Meanwhile, Xiaoman has her own secret: she’s been taking care of her terminally ill former teacher every Wednesday, hiding it from Chen Mo to spare his worry. When she leaves early and bursts into the teahouse, she sees Chen Mo sitting across from a woman in a qipao, with her long-lost engagement necklace on the table… Will those unspoken "necessities" become the fuse that destroys their marriage?
