Lin Xiaoman is a “doormat” exploited by her in-laws—her mother-in-law despises her for earning little, her sister-in-law steals her jewelry, and even her husband gives her the cold shoulder. On the day she loses her job, she picks up a stray dog “Wangfu” that understands human speech. To her surprise, this dog has “fortune magic”: it retrieves her interview resume hidden by her sister-in-law, makes her workplace bully trip into a bakery, and even cures her mother-in-law’s chronic back pain. What’s more shocking is that Wangfu turns into a 5-year-old cute kid every night, crying, “Xiaoman sister, I’m here to bring fortune to your family.” It turns out Wangfu is a little fortune boy from the Heavenly Luck Palace, banished to a dog for breaking rules, and only by helping Lin Xiaoman resolve all misfortunes can he return to heaven. When Lin Xiaoman rises to become an e-commerce director with Wangfu’s “luck buff”, exposes her sister-in-law’s “dowry scam”, and makes her in-laws change their attitude completely, she finds the cute kid looks exactly like her missing nephew who’s been gone for ten years! As the fortune boy’s return to heaven draws near, can she keep this “heaven-sent family member”?
