In the fictional Dazhao Dynasty, the capital’s busiest tavern, The Misty Rain Pavilion, hides a secret: it’s the base for survivors of the fallen previous dynasty plotting to reclaim their throne. Su Wanqing, the pavilion’s charming mistress, serves wine and smiles to customers, but secretly uses the "Yanyu Token" to rally her old allies. Gu Zhaozhi, a skilled imperial spy, infiltrates the tavern as a waiter named Shen Qing, only to fall in love with Su Wanqing while warming her wine. Ye Xiao, a ruthless assassin, kicks open the door with a knife—only to find his long-lost sister under the veil. Even Xiaodouzi, the errand boy who steals wine with silver, has a secret letter from the enemy state Beirong in his pocket. When the Yanyu Token rolls out from a wine jar, all forces gather under the red lanterns. Love mixes with betrayal, family clashes with country, and every secret surfaces. Who is the true heir to the fallen dynasty? Can the ever-burning lantern of The Misty Rain Pavilion reveal true hearts?
