Zhao, the top assassin of Luosha Gate, is tasked with stealing a Jinyiwei secret letter—only to end up traveling with Shen Yan, the cold Jinyiwei commander hunting the "Luosha Order." Both have hidden agendas: she drugs him to steal the letter, he uses his authority to outsmart her; she’s caught red-handed, but he instinctively shields her from danger. As imperial conspiracies unfold, they realize they’re both fate’s pawns. Amidst their schemes, unplanned心动 (xīndòng, heartbeat) creeps in—when the assassin tries to "steal a heart" and the commander fights to "guard his," can they escape this heist in the chaos?
