Su Wan, the sole survivor of the Zhenbei Marquis Mansion, infiltrates the harem as a lowly cleaning maid named Xiaotao to investigate her family’s wrongful execution. Her days are spent carrying chamber pots and scrubbing latrines—until she stumbles upon Emperor Murong Heng’s secret: the seemingly decadent ruler is actually plotting to take down the corrupt officials controlling the court.
