Her days are spent carrying chamber pots and scrubbing latrines—until she stumbles upon Emperor Murong Heng’s secret: the seemingly decadent ruler is actually plotting to take down the corrupt officials controlling the court. Murong Heng keeps her close as a “pawn,” but soon falls for her; Su Wan, while wary of the “foolish emperor,” realizes he’s been secretly shielding her from assassins. When the villains are defeated and the truth comes out, Su Wan braces for punishment—only for Murong Heng to pull her onto the dragon bed with a grin: “No more chamber pots. My kingdom, my bed… they’re all yours to share.”
