A martial monk who has abided by monastic rules for years bears a blood feud for his whole clan, but his family was massacred. When chaotic armies press the city and the emperor abandons the capital in a desperate situation, he resolutely breaks old rules, teaches refugees to reclaim land and grow grain to gather strength on ruins, while secretly killing the cult leader who harmed his family. Finally, he leads the refugee suicide team he protected back to the capital, breaks the chaotic army with his staff, avenges his blood feud and guards the righteous heart hidden behind the precepts.
