Forensic pathologist Lin Wan's younger brother is brutally murdered by a knife engraved with a teardrop mole. She swears to find the killer. During the investigation, she meets Gu Chengchuan, a mysterious man with the same teardrop mole—he is the last person her brother contacted before death and avoids talking about the origin of the 'tearful blade'. From mutual hostility to hidden affection, their relationship twists when Lin Wan finds an identical knife in Gu's house. The truth reverses: Gu is the one her brother entrusted to protect her, while the real killer is her mentor, whom she respects like a father. To cover up a medical accident ten years ago, the mentor tried to eliminate all insiders.
