In 2026, Lin Xiaoman, a struggling office worker behind on rent and facing repeated work setbacks, finds an old pocket watch left by his great-grandpa while sorting old belongings in his ancestral house—gaining the ability to travel between 1988 and 2026, becoming a 'merchant crossing two worlds'. At first, he made fast money trading goods across time: selling cheap snacks from 2026 for limited vintage items from 1988, getting rich quickly in 2026's collectible market. But soon he discovers a shocking secret: the teenage boy in 1988 looks exactly like him, and every trip drains the boy's vitality and erases his memories. Lin has to choose between huge wealth and saving another version of himself, while a mysterious person eyeing the watch creeps closer.
